Our story

I've been on these islands long enough to know that the Outer Banks doesn't look like the beach on a postcard. It looks like grey cedar shake, sea oats bent sideways, and the sound going flat and pink around eight o'clock in the evening.

Everything OBX started because the things I wanted for my own house — the ones that looked like here rather than a generic coast — mostly didn't exist. So I started making them, and then finding other people who made them well.

Everything in the shop is either made by me in small batches or made by people I've picked out one at a time. Every order ships from the Outer Banks, usually within two business days.
